TODAY 14 September 2026 - Ottawa - IRCC confirms 2026 allocations under international student cap - cuts continue.

Key Changes 2026
- 1 Jan 2026: Masters and PhD at public DLIs exempt from PAL/TAL attestation letter
- Feb 2026: Joint programmes need only ONE PAL not multiple
- 1 April 2026: No separate co-op work permit needed for mandatory placements
- 1 Sept 2026: Financial proof raised to C$23,448 single outside Quebec, family of 3 C$35,888 + tuition + travel
